Moved in the trailer :)

Filled our trailer with everything we need and then some, hitched it to the truck and drove 30 miles to a rural RV park (Tall Chief in Fall City, WA). Worked from 1pm to 8pm unpacking boxes and organizing. This will take another few days but it is coming together. Per Brittany’s request we have a couple of pictures of the trailer and truck 🙂

The trailer is essentially a furnished tiny home that you need to find a place for everything you think is important to your life. In some ways for me, I just need my camera and computer, but lol why did I bring 30 short and long sleeve tops???? I am learning and we are both having fun, anxiety, terror, and insane pleasure in getting this organized 🙂

Moving into the RV Trailer tomorrow

I guess we are launching our venture, most everything in our apartment is in the trailer or in storage, here is a view of what is left 🙂
Dorm Living
Like Roni said, like dorm living.

Our trailer is FULL, lol, we figure the next week or two we will be moving unneeded items to storage as we feel our way in tiny home living. Tomorrow morning we pull the trailer out of storage and ferry her to a campsite in Fall City WA. I can’t explain how excited we are to be moving into our home away from home ! The venture begins. I will post pictures of the trailer once we have moved in.

Living like college students :-)

So 75% of our home is in storage.  The other 25% is in the trailer I like to call our “tiny home” for the next year.  1% is the mattress on the floor of our apartment and the few clothes we have to change into..oh yeah and the TV/wifi we cannot live without!  (Feel like   a college student) Anxiety and Excitement are at an all time high.  Feeling odd not going to work every morning…but not complaining 🙂    May 4th we head to Spokane WA. to stay at our first camp site.   Will also visit my youngest daughter, Haley and my grand babies before our long trip.  It’s getting REAL people.   I am a happy girl 🙂

Life’s uncertainties can be Life’s opportunities :)

The day before our trial trip to California, Roni was whisked in an ambulance to the ER.  Her stay in the hospital was short but we refocused on reconnecting with her family and daughter, by driving down in a car rather than towing our trailer.  Since then several medical issues have kept both of us changing our priorities.  Our compromise is to head to Spokane WA the first week of May, come back to Seattle for two weeks, a week in northern CA to visit with her family, then we begin our trek to Glacier National Park in late May.

As the title of this post indicates, we don’t view this as a setback, just another step in our journey through life.  We are both blessed with the flexibility to reschedule this venture around America and hopefully be better prepared as we learn more each day.

Questions of how to deal with insurance of our truck, trailer and property; how to deal with health insurance while on the road; what cooking and eating ware do you bring to meet your needs; and the list goes on, lol.  I hope we can deal with each of these in future posts just to help you see the fun, frustration, and challenges of making this venture work.  I will post our first pictures in the next 10 days so you can see our truck and trailer in a camp environment.  We move out of our apartment on the 29th and start “full timing it” in an RV trailer.  Stay tuned and please know we are both fine, just dealing with some medical issues that will be resolved.
